To make your Mzansi Food account more secure, receive receipts and important messages from Mzansi Food, simply verify your email address.

  1. Look for the email from Mzansi Food and tap Verify Email Address.
  2. If you did not receive any email, tap on request another verification email.

Tips:

  • The verification email is sent from no-reply@mzansifood.com. Check your Junk/Spam mailbox if you do not see the email in your Inbox.
  • If you are logged in via Facebook or Google and your current email address is the same as your social login, your email address will automatically be verified.
  • It's a good practice to link your Mzansi Food account to either Facebook or Google. This way, you can always have access to your Mzansi Food account even if you've changed to a new mobile number.

Check that your email address is entered correctly. You will not receive verification email if you enter the wrong email address. The verification email is sent from the Mzansi Food

no-reply@mzansifood.com. Check your Junk/Spam mailbox if you do not see the email in your Inbox. Email verification may fail if you have more than one verification email. Request for another verification email again and verify using the latest verification email from Mzansi Food.

We are not able to manually verify your email address. Email verification needs to be actioned by you, by clicking the link in the verification email. Let us know, if after trying the above troubleshooting steps and you are still unable to verify your email address, through the form below with your error message.

How to place orders from Mzansi Food via the website or mobile application

    • Remember to indicate your special requests (if any) before adding to basket
    • Some of the food items may require you to select additional options

You can easily order food from your favorite restaurant with Mzansi Food in just a few taps.

1.     You may place an order from Mzansi Food either via the app, available on iOS and Android, or from your desktop or Tablet visit www.mzansifood.com.

2.     If you do not have the app, please download free from the App Store or Google Play Store and install it to access all the available features.

3.     Once installed on your device, simply enter your delivery location and search via cuisines, offers, delivery method or rating and etc.

4.     Once you have placed your order, the restaurant will accept the order and you will receive confirmation via email or push notification if you have the app installed.

5.     Once the restaurant receives your order, they’ll get to work preparing your food and beverages and then carefully package it.

6.     Our order confirmation screen has the most up to date information about the status of your order.

7.     Once it's ready to go, a Mzansi Food Delivery Driver will pick it up and bring it to you if it’s a delivery order otherwise you will have to go pick-up your order by yourself.

8.     Restaurants that use Mzansi delivery driver Partners to deliver food have a map available for you to live track your delivery. You can check the real-time status of your order via the Mzansi App or website in the ‘Orders’ section.

 

You can track your order status via the same website or Mzansi Food App. You'll be notified via email, Chat system or WhatsApp on your delivery status too. Sit back, relax, and get ready to enjoy your food.

 


 

Can I change my food items after placed an order?

You can’t change your order after placed it, as the restaurant starts preparing the food for you, once they have accepted your order and we shouldn’t waste food! However, you can add more orders of the same restaurant before placing the order.


Can I make multiple Mzansi Food orders?

Yes, you can place as many concurrent food orders as possible from the same restaurants.

 


 

Can I cancel my order or change address after placing an order?

You may cancel your order without charge at any time before the restaurant and/or retail store has started preparing the food ("Preparation"). If you wish to cancel an order before it becomes a Preparation Order, please go to Orders, My Recent Orders and click Cancel Order, in this instances Order Status will be Pending. You cannot cancel the after it has been accepted by the restaurant that is preparation order.


 

Why was my order cancelled?

The restaurant may cancel your order if the food you've ordered is out of stock or the system will automatically cancel it if there’s no available Delivery Driver.

 

 


Will I earn rewards points for Mzansi Food order?

Yes, refer to the credit points to see how many points you earn each time you place an order. Go to my account and click on drop down arrow.


Why must I rate my restaurant and delivery driver

Your feedback is crucial for us to keep getting better. Simply rate your Restaurant and Delivery Driver, and your comments will be immediately displayed on Mzansi Food platform. This helps us to keep building a high standard of food and service quality for eaters like yourself.

How to rate your Restaurant

You'll receive a push notification to rate the Restaurant after your order has been completed/delivered. Please check your Mzansi App Inbox. 

 

Open App and tap to Orders to give your rating. You may also opt to provide the reasons for your rating, and even rate the individual items in your order.

Do note that your rating for either your restaurant or Mzansi Food Driver is fixed after submission and cannot be changed. 


 

How can I tip my delivery driver?

If you like the service provided by your Mzansi Delivery Driver, you can show your Appreciation for a job well done by tipping him/her before you checkout or after your food delivery, simply tap on the tip and indicate percentage or fixed amount you wish to tip the driver. 100% of your tip will go to the delivery partner. 


What is minimum order amount?

The minimum order amount can vary depending on which restaurant you’re ordering from. If there’s a minimum order amount, you’ll be informed at home page of each restaurant before you place your order.


How do I check my order amount?


Your order amount equals to the “subtotal” in the checkout page. 

Is minimum order amount applicable for self-pick-up or dine-in order?
No, the
minimum order is not applicable for self-pick-up or dine-in order. Minimum order is only applicable to delivery orders.

 


What is Mzansi Food service fee?

Currently, we do not charge service fee for our customers for using our platforms, we have only delivery fee if customers chosen that the food be delivered.


How do I indicate special request or food allergies?

You’ll be able to put in any special request in the instructions field before you add the food item to the Cart, and we’ll do our best to serve you.



How do I make payment for Mzansi Food?

You can make payment using your card payment, cash or pay with wallet during checkout of your order.

What is Mzansi Food self-pick-up

Mzansi Food Self Pick-up is a service which allows you to place Self Pick-up orders through Mzansi Food App and collect your food from the restaurant when it is ready.

 


What's the difference between Mzansi Food delivery order and self-pick-up order?

 

·       For Mzansi Food delivery order, our Mzansi Food delivery drivers will pick up the food from the restaurant and deliver it to you.

·       While for Mzansi Food Self Pick-up order, the food will be picked up by you.

 


How to order Mzansi Food self-pick-up order?

·       On the Mzansi Food checkout page, tap on the ‘Self Pick-up’ category. After you have placed your order, you will get email notification for the collection time of your order.

·       At the restaurant, skip the queue and head to the counter and provide your order ID shown on the App to the cashier or waiter.


Can I schedule my self-pick-up order?

Currently, we do not offer the ability to schedule a Self-Pick-up order, but this is coming soon! Now, when you place a Self-Pick-up order, it will be sent to the merchant right away who will then start preparing your order.

 


 

What if the restaurant is closed?

We're sorry that you are unable to place your order.

Why was my order cancelled?

 

The restaurant must fulfill your order. However, the restaurant may cancel your order if the food you've ordered is out of stock. You may choose to order from another restaurant, and that you can reuse any promotion code meant for this booking for your next order (subjected to ongoing promotional terms of use).

We will also cancel the order if you ordered alcohol and the person receiving the delivery is below 18 years old.

My Mzansi Food driver didn’t show up

 

We’re sorry about your experience! Sometimes deliveries can be delayed by how busy the restaurant is, your order size or traffic conditions. You can contact your driver via call or our chat channel system for an update on your order. As he or she may be on the road, please try again if there is no response at first.

However, if your driver has changed your order status as delivered but is a no-show.

Alternatively, if your driver has cancelled your order without letting you know first or giving a valid reason, please report your issue to us for a better experience.

We’re sorry if your driver has changed your order status as delivered but was a no-show. We understand how frustrated you must feel. 

Report your issue to us via Help Centre in Mzansi App, if:
1. If you’ve already paid for the order via a credit/debit card, Wallet, but didn't receive your food.
2. You used a promo code.

Mzansi's service standards require our drivers to deliver all accepted orders responsibly. We’ll carry out an investigation on your report. If your driver has been found in violation of our rules, we'll take Appropriate action to correct his or her behavior.

If you are a delivery-partner utilizing motorcycles or car to fulfil the orders, please adhere to local road laws on active mobility and motorcycles.

If you were in an accident, please remember these 4 steps.

1.     STOP AND OFFER HELP (IF YOU ARE ABLE TO)

·       Keep calm and do not lose your temper

·       Make sure you and the other party is alright

 

2.     CHECK FOR DANGER OR INJURY

·       Call 10177 if anyone is seriously injured or in need of medical attention

·       Do not move the injured or vehicles unnecessarily while waiting for help

 

3.     GATHER INFORMATION

·       Take pictures of the damaged and surrounding areas

·       If there are witnesses, you may exchange contact numbers

·       Get as much evidence as possible

·       Note the place and time of the accident

·       Exchange the following particulars of involved parties

o   Full name and Contact number

o   Car Registration Number and Address

 

4.     REPORT THE ACCIDENT (RECOMMENDED WITHIN 48 HOURS)

  • Report to Mzansi Food if you do get into an accident as we care about your welfare
  • Depending on the severity of the accident, you are advised to make a police report within 48 hours when an accident involves injury, death, pedestrian, cyclist, government or foreign vehicles and government property

What equipment do I need?

 

If you are delivering with Mzansi Food, you are required to use our Mzansi Food-branded gear sets as recommended.

  1. T-shirts / Shirt or Overall / Suit / Our uniform
  2. For scooters, bicycles and motor bikes you must always wear a helmet
  3. Install handheld device for your phone for GPS while driving
  4. Thermal bag + bag set (bag types depend on the mode of delivery)

Mzansi Food Delivery-Partner Applicants will have to purchase the Mzansi Food gear package in order to be activated as a Mzansi Food Delivery-Partner.

To ensure that your bag is always in tip-top condition, proper food handling and proper cleaning must be practiced.

  • Pack orders carefully and ensure that food containers are sealed before you move off from the restaurant
  • Wipe down your thermal bags using a damp cloth with sanitizer/ food-safe washing liquid on a daily basis.

The restaurant is closed. The quickest way is to call the restaurant and try to sort it out first.

In the unlikely event that you received an order for a closed restaurant, please submit the form below and send a clear photo via WhatsApp of the restaurant. Upon verification that the restaurant is closed, we will cancel your order and reimburse you for the trip to the restaurant.

I have an issue regarding a cash order

 

It’s recommended that you carry/prepare at least R200 of cash for giving customers change in various denominations per shift. If you realize that you don’t have enough change after accepting an order, you can:

  1. Contact the customer to check if the customer has the exact amount.
  2. If the customer doesn’t have the exact amount, inform the customer that there will be a delay in delivery while you head towards an ATM / nearby shop to get change for the customer.
  3. If the customer refuses, remain calm and contact us or request for assistance. 

We advise you to only complete the order after receiving the correct cash amount. If there are any disputes, clarify with the customer on the amount received.

Manage Delivery Driver Account

I can't perform the selfie or upload picture

 

You will be required to take a selfie or upload a picture from your phone.

Your face must cover the whole circle and ensure that your face is visible. If you're delivering Mzansi Food with a motorcycle, please remove your helmet prior to the selfie. If you are at a dimly lit environment, move to a brighter area or increase the brightness of your screen so that your face can be properly identified.

 

Tips for a smooth verification:

Allow camera access position your face so that it fits within the circle don't cover any part of your face perform the required action on screen ensure that your face is well lit move to an area with better lighting

 

Login on the driver app with your credentials you used when registering,

Go to menu

Go to My Profile

Click on camera, choose option:

Remember to allow camera access when prompted.
